With a great price and a sweet set-up this 10M is going to be hard to beat. There may have been some dent work done to the neck in the past but it is currently in perfect playing condition. more includes the original neck in nice condition. There has been no major dent work or re-solders along the body in the past. Its engraving on the bell is still clear and well defined. The original lacquer on this tenor shows typical play wear for a instrument of this vintage.

The low end has an especially rich full resonating sound that very free blowing. This horn has a fat core sound and a lot of warmth. All of the pads are seated perfectly to the rounded tone holes allowing the notes from top to bottom to sound with ease. Metal waffle Noyek resonators and is in perfect playing condition. It plays very well up and down the register with a light lyric sound that is synonymous with C sopranos. Many older horns may have notes that play flat or sharp and you just have to know your horn. Conn” badge on the top of the case. Keep in mind that C sopranos are all notorious for having flat middle C’s and this one is no exception. This horn comes in the original case which is getting a little old and starting to come apart a little at the seam but everything still locks and carries fine there is a “C.G. U.S.A.” The serial number puts the manufacture year of this instrument at 1925 or 1926. 1119954 C” followed by the serial number of “M144831” and the letter “L”. The engraving on the horn is leaves and flowers with the words “PAT DEC.8.1914. It comes with the original metal rivet pads, which are still in good condition. The cork on the top is a little old but still fine and there is one very tiny dent on the back between the octave mechanism and the thumb button but other than that this horn is absolutely pristine. It has just come back from the shop where it was polished and adjusted. There is 98% of the original silver plating still on the horn and as you can see it just shines.
